Sheriff's Deputy Makes Arrest After Chase, Wreck in Orange Co.

An Orange County man has been arrested after a car chase that resulted in a wreck.

An Orange County Sheriff's Deputy arrested 29 year-old Roger Washington on Tuesday.

Washington was clocked going 27 miles per hour over the speed limit. He turned onto several streets, trying to elude the deputy that was now following him, before crashing his car.

Washington had his 4 year-old daughter in the car during the pursuit. Neither of them was injured in the crash.

Washington is charged with reckless driving, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, felony child endangerment, and several other charges.

He is being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
