Multiple people are behind bars, facing drug charges in Madison County.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office issued a search warrant at a home in the Burnt Tree subdivision Tuesday, April 22. Officers say they detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence.
Deputies arrested 36-year-old Corey Denise Williams, 19-year-old Michael Eady, 26-year-old Kyle Wesley Murray, 20-year-old Najee Matteux and 23-year-old Anissa L Rose.
Deputies confiscated 1200 tablets of heroin, ecstasy and an undetermined amount of other narcotics.
All subjects are charged with 1 count of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II Narcotics – Heroin, and are being held at the Central Virginia Regional Jail.
Officials say the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges may be forthcoming.
