Lots of people shopped on Sunday for any last-minute items needed before Hurricane Sandy arrives. Some people added their favorite snacks to their shopping cart.
"Those are for me and those are for my husband," Norma Thompson said, pointing to some baked goods in her cart. "My husband will not be happy if I don't have this in the house."
That one snack you need to have, being stuck inside the house during a big storm like this.
"I love popcorn and I have to make sure I have soda because that's my guilty pleasure," Lela Graham said.
"I have the basic essentials right here. Some beer and a little bit of country ham for now," Winfred Watson said.
And some kids, hoping for no school tomorrow chose their own treats to put in mom's shopping cart.
"Chocolate. You know the people who can't live without chocolate? Well, I love it, it's just so good. Right now, I'm looking at the cookies and stuff like that to get," said Jennifer Gomezambrano.
And some others shopped for baked goods.
"I'm determined to bake muffins, I'm been to three grocery stores so far and they're all out of buttermilk. So that's all I was planning on doing for the storm. Baking muffins and watching movies and I cant even do that," said Chelsea Harlan.
"We're going to bake a cake because that's what we do in our family. Whenever there's a snow day or the kids have off from school, we watch television together and bake as a family," said Latita Talbert.
But just in case, there is a possible back -up with Halloween just a few days away.
"I have enough Halloween candy, I think, to get me through the storm," said Harlan.
