It'll soon be a little easier to walk down Main Street in Stanardsville.
Crews have laid down the cement for the sidewalk as part of the streetscape project that began last month in the small Greene County town.
The work is more than a decade in the making, often stalled because the town never had proper funding for the project.
The upgrades along Main Street also include new crosswalks and lighting.
The goal is to finish all the work by December, just in time for the Stanardsville Christmas parade.
