The first Southern Living Showcase Home built in Virginia opens the weekend of May 18. Its located just South of Charlottesville on Ragged Mountain Farm
The home will be feature in Southern Living magazine and was built by local contractors and vendors, show casing the best the area has to offer in construction, technology and design.
"Whether it be labor, materials, products, all the different things that everyone worked really hard to put in the house, we stopped short of nothing to make sure that his house would be worthy of the pages of Southern Living magazine." says Jayson Collier of Summit Customs Homes, who built the house.
Tours will be every weekend until the beginning of June from 10am to 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10am to 2pm on Sundays. Tickets are $12 and proceeds will benefit the Alex's Lemonade Stand charity.
