Spotsylvania Co. Sheriff’s Office Seeks Store Shooting Suspect

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect involved in the shooting of a store employee.

The suspect reportedly entered the Fas Mart on Brock Road and Plank Road shortly before 3:00 a.m. on March 8th. He approached the counter and asked for a tobacco product. When the female employee turned her back to the suspect, he pulled out a handgun and shot her in the back of the head.

The suspect then grabbed an ephedrine locked cabinet and ran out the front door, shooting the employee again as she fled.

The employee was able to call 911.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-40 years old, about 5'6"-5'8" tall, 200-230lbs., with reddish/brown beard or goatee.

Law enforcement believes the suspect may be in the Charlottesville or Southern Virginia area.
