Below is the statement from Trustees of the Darden School Foundation in support of UVa Deans' message to the Board of Visitors.

The trustees of the Darden School Foundation endorse the statement to the Board of Visitors from the University of Virginia deans, including Darden's Bob Bruner, dated 21 June 2012, in which they call for the reinstatement of Teresa Sullivan as president of the University and a collaborative and progressive approach to meeting the challenges of the University.

We do not make this suggestion lightly. We are aware of both the dedication and responsibility that the Board of Visitors has for the University and the fact that the Board members have acted in what they believe is in the best interest of the University.

We stand ready to support the Board of Visitors, Dean Bruner, the Darden faculty and staff and all other University stakeholders, as we collectively begin the process of recovering from the recent events and planning for the future.
