On Tuesday, a statue entitled "Seated Woman" 1958-1859, was installed along Rugby Road in Charlottesville. The statue which now sits in front of the University of Virginia Art Museum is an indefinite loan from the Henry Moore Foundation.
The sculpture is designed to help grab the attention of those who pass by and point out the recently renovated landscape in front of the museum. Newly installed lighting will help to spotlight the statue.
One lane of Rugby Road was shut down for hours as a crane lifted the seven foot tall statue up into her new home.
