An accident involving a beer truck caused traffic delays during the morning commute on Route 29 Thursday.
The northbound lanes of Rt. 29 were closed at Arrowhead Valley Road between Charlottesville and North Garden around 6:30am Thursday.
Police say the truck, carrying 45,000 pounds of beer, tried to make a U-turn from the southbound lane to the northbound lane when its rear trailer tire got stuck in a ditch.
None of the beer spilled and no one was hurt.
Crews had to use a wrecker to free the tractor trailer. All lanes were reopened by 8am.
