Some Albemarle County students had the chance to see their hard work come to life today.
Students from the I-Connect Summer program had the opportunity to go into the community and learn how to take photos, write and explore career options.
The theme this year for the program was music, so they met with musicians and had a chance to play with some of the instruments. Students were taught to look everywhere for ideas for their photographs and poems.
That's according to Burley Middle School student Gustavo. He said he looked for something that "really caught his eye".
The program is in its sixth year. You can see their work Friday night at The Bridge in Charlottesville.
