A new survey released on Thursday says a majority of Virginians support Governor Bob McDonnell's transportation plan.
McDonnell’s plan would remove the gas tax and raise the sales tax to pay for roads.
It was supported by two-thirds of the over one-thousand people who were asked about it in the phone survey. Additionally, most people were opposed to adding taxes and toll roads.
