A Charlottesville man, charged in a police chase, has pleaded guilty to several charges.
25-year-old Marcell Turner appeared in Charlottesville Circuit Court on Monday, and pleaded guilty to a total of eight charges.
Those charges are two counts of malicious wounding, distribution of cocaine, assault and battery. He also pleaded guilty to one count of eluding police and failure to stop at an accident.
Turner was accused of leading Charlottesville police officers on a chase back in April.
An officer had tried to pull Turner over on 5th Street. Turner then turned onto Meridian Street, where he hit two police cruisers with his car, injuring an officer.
Police say Turner tried to run away on foot, before being caught.
