Temperature Dip Means Time To Bring In Your Plants

The air has turned cool and as you pull out your winter gear, don’t forget about your garden.

These early fall nights can spell disaster for some of your household plants, especially this early in the year. When you start seeing frost and freeze warnings, that is when you should move them in for the season.

There are actually some plants that thrive when the temperature dips. Norm Carlson of Snow’s Garden Center says ornamental kale and cabbage love the cold weather. He also says pansies thrive during the colder months.

If you do have potted plants to keep outside, make sure you keep the soil damp so they don’t get dried out of suffer from wind burn.
