Pro tennis players teamed up with local Special Olympics tennis champions who have some impressive serving skills of their own.
Special Olympics players paired up with top United States Tennis Association players at the Boar's Head Sunday evening. It's part of the Charlottesville Men's Pro Challenger. The pro circuit event benefited Special Olympics Virginia.
"The whole thing is about potential, what can you do with your body and your life to make the most of it and Special Olympians have a special message," said Special Olympian parent Barbara Fried.
Local Special Olympics tennis champion 50-year-old Jon Fried still plays tennis. He was once rank as the best Special Olympics tennis player in the world.
