Gabriel Del Rosario - McAdam is one day old and already has a college fund.

The Virginia 529 college savings plan awarded college savings accounts to the 20 babies who were born closest to 5:29 pm today at participating hospitals. Gabriel was born at 6:01 pm at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

Gabriel's mom says the about 24 hour labor may have paid off.

"He was supposed to be born around 10 AM and then things got delayed big time. This was a huge bonus. Not only was it a relief to finally have him there, but then it was a relief because we got this bonus on top of it. So it was a reward for me and for him later," said Mary McAdam, Gabriel's mother.

The account is valued at $529. The company's CEO says most parents believe attending college is important, but most aren't regularly saving the money.

"It was nice because we were also trying to figure out what kind of college fund to start and now we actually have a guidance of which one we should choose," said Greg del Rosario, Gabriel's father.
