The Thomas Jefferson Center has released its annual Muzzle Awards, given to groups and individuals accused of stopping free speech
There are nine winners this year, although none of them are from this area.
One of the winners is a school board in Pennsylvania that banned a children's book called "The Dirty Cowboy", because the book has drawings of a mostly-nude cowboy.
Clay Hansen with the Thomas Jefferson Center points out that isn't the only school on the list.
"A kindergarten in Oklahoma City who sent a kid behind a tree to change his shirt because he came in wearing a University of Michigan t-shirt, but the dress code said you could only wear shirts that supported Oklahoma colleges, so unless you were rooting for the home team, you were out of line."
