The Tom Tom Founders Festival was in full swing Friday evening with a block party in front of McGuffey Art Center brought out a crowd.

The McGuffey block party showcased a diverse group of music genres, from rock, to punk, to hip-hop.

The event also highlighted New Belgium Brewery, which offered a beer garden with workshops taught by beer specialists.

It was one of many events for the festival.

"This weekend is really just a great opportunity to explore creativity across disciplines here in Charlottesville. Whether it's listening to a variety of different bands and music here in Charlottesville of listening to talks and panels about people here that are making global impacts around the world," said Daniel Wilson, Innovation Programming Coordinator for Tom Tom.
