Santa's elves would be impressed by the work volunteers from the Toy Lift are doing this year.
On Saturday, thousands of toys were sorted and packed to go to different schools around Central Virginia.
The goal was to receive 10,000 toys for children in need this holiday season, but that number was more than doubled. People across Central Virginia gave 21,021 toys this year during the Toy Lift donation day on Friday, Dec. 6.
Nearly 150 bikes and more than 19,000 books were also donated this year.
