A truck accident caused crews to shut down a lane on Interstate 64 Friday night.
It happened on I-64 westbound in Louisa County, a few miles east of Zion Crossroads.
The tractor trailer went off the road and into some trees, which may have helped soften the blow. The front two tires of the cab scraped off, leaving the diesel tank on the ground.
First responders suspect a medical emergency may have caused the crash because the driver did not apply the brakes.
The driver was taken to the hospital. No one else was injured.
