Traffic Accident Causes Morning Backup on Route 20

A crash involving a car and tractor-trailer sent a driver to the hospital Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 7:45 AM, the two vehicles collided on Route 20 near Mill Creek Drive in Albemarle County.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital, and the crash caused a significant backup on northbound Route 20.

It was raining at the time, but it is unknown if weather played a role in the crash.

No word yet on any possible charges.
