A candidate for the Charlottesville City Council will have to wait another month for his day in court.
Wes Bellamy greeted the press on Thursday morning in front of the Charlottesville General District Court.
Police had charged Bellamy with contempt of court for not showing up to court in March to face a traffic violation.
Bellamy claims it was just a scheduling mistake by the clerk of court's office, and he thought his court date had been changed.
His trial has been continues to May 16, 2013.
