Tuition Going Up at JMU

(AP) - Students will pay more to attend James Madison University during the 2013-2014 school year than they did during the previous year.

The Daily News-Record reports that in-state undergraduate students' tuition and fees will increase about 4 percent to $9,176. Tuition and fees for out-of-state undergraduate students will increase 3.7 percent to $23,654.

Last week, the board of visitors approved a $476.8 million budget for the upcoming academic year. The budget is 5 percent higher than in the 2012-2013 school year.
