A tractor-trailer overturned early Tuesday morning on Interstate 81 in Botetourt County, killing most of the 900 turkeys that were being shipped to Harrisonburg for processing.
The driver of the truck was not hurt in the wreck, which happened at 5:40 AM.
State police closed both Northbound lanes of I-81 while the accident scene was cleaned up.
