Two Arrested in Albemarle County Drug Bust
Albemarle County Police arrested two men for possession of narcotics, including crack cocaine and marijuana, following a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Albemarle County Police arrested two men for possession of narcotics, including crack cocaine and marijuana, following a traffic stop early Thursday morning.

Officer Kudro, of the County Police Department, stopped a vehicle in the 1000 block of Seminole Trail around 12:30am Thursday. While conducting the traffic stop, the officer reports noticing a smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. He also determined the passenger of the vehicle was wanted for an outstanding felony warrant.

Upon search of the vehicle, Officer Kudro located 133.2 grams of crack cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, a 9mm handgun and $644 in cash. The crack cocaine has a street value of $13,320.

Police arrested Ronald Porter, Jr., of Buckingham, and Ladonte Chapman, of Charlottesville, and charged them with possession of crack cocaine and marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a handgun while in possession of a schedule II drug and carrying a concealed weapon.

Both Porter and Chapman are being held at the Charlottesville/Albemarle Regional Jail without bond.

look i think everyone needs to mind there own yea maybe they shouldnt be selling n they made bad choices but everyone makes mistakes and dont throw stones when you live in a glass house i know both of these men and i know porter personaly, he is a wonderful person despite his bad choice he still a loving caring father and friend

go to www.circuit.court.case.va.us then you will see two sites about court cases you can search by name you can see what they did and charged sentenced. easier to go down to circuit court if you only have a name

I see references to "trials with witnesses" but no guilty or innocent verdicts. This would sure help. Citizen appears correct.
