Charlottesville Police make two arrests in connection with a hotel robbery in July.

Police arrested 29-year-old Trisha Evans and 42-year-old Steven Bednarski this past week. Both are facing robbery charges.

Surveillance video from the Days Inn on Emmet Street shows a woman, who police say is Evans, luring a man into her hotel room. Before they reached the room, police say Bednarski attacked the man in a stairwell.

Police say the victim was pistol-whipped and received multiple cuts to the back of his head.

"It was a lot of legwork, a lot of communication, a lot of interviews and things that went on for the detective working the case, and it was a lot of legwork. You could say it probably took 6 months in order to put the case together," said Lt. Ronnie Roberts with the Charlottesville Police Department.

Charlottesville Police say it's too early to know if this is the first time Evans and Bednarski allegedly worked together.
