UVa Achieves Fundraising Goal

May 20, 2013

The University of Virginia has met and exceeded its lofty fundraising goal.

UVa President Teresa Sullivan made the announcement during Final Exercises.

The fundraising campaign began in 2006 to raise $3 billion to support programs at UVa.

Much of it came from students, parents, faculty and staff.

In addition to scholarships and endowments, the money helped build or fund a number of projects at the University, including the John Paul Jones Area and the Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.
