Fans of the University of Virginia men's basketball team filled the hardwood on Sunday for Meet the Team Day.
Hundreds of people headed to the John Paul Jones Arena to mingle with the players ahead of the season while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the facilities.
"This is the first time we've ever been behind the court," said fan Kathy Davies.
Friends Parker Smith and Bailey Friedman attended the event together.
"We got to see the locker room and then go to the practice courts and shoot hoops and meet the coaches," said Friedman.
But the boys didn't leave empty handed.
"We've been getting signed autographs on our T-shirts," said Smith.
Fans lined up for nearly two hours to get their pictures taken with players and have them sign basketballs, shirts, posters and other items.
With about a month to go until the season officially kicks off, fans say they have a lot to look forward to once the games begin.
"It's just a fun family outing. We have a good time and the music and the players and the dancers. I mean, the whole package deal. We love it," said Davies.
The first men's basketball game is a home game on Nov. 8 against James Madison University.
