The University of Virginia Board of Visitors met on Thursday to discuss the progress made on the new Strategic Plan by President Teresa Sullivan and the Strategic Planning Committee.

The Strategic Plan is meant to be a comprehensive set of goals, initiatives and strategies for UVa to advance their educational programs and set the University apart from others.

But ultimately, it comes down to how to better serve the students says Senior Vice Provost Milton Adams.

"Its helping us think about how we best position to educate our students or our faculty to accomplish the research and solve world problems."

The Board is set to vote on a final draft of the Strategic Plan in November.
