UVa fans gathered in Charlottesville to watch the game on Friday night.

Many Wahoos wore their orange and blue and came out to support the team on their NCAA run on UVa's Corner.

At The Virginian restaurant and bar, fans stayed through the tense moments.

"I've been following them since I came here as a first year seven years ago and I really hope that we're able to win the Sweet Sixteen because it means a lot to me," said Victoria Soler, a UVa alumna.

Jerry Reid, a UVa student and member of the Hoo Crew, joined Soler and other Wahoos.

"There it sits right there," Reid said during the first quarter, pointing to a group of fellow fans. "That's the game plan. And also the 15 or 20,000 Wahoos who are in New York!"

Reid said that that game plan will get them a win against Michigan state.
