One of the University of Virginia's newest massively open online courses (MOOC) begins today, and the topic is President Thomas Jefferson.
UVa. is partnering with Monticello to offer the free course, entitled "The Age of Jefferson."
The course will offer an introduction to Jefferson's thoughts and ideas, as well as address three of his achievements: writing the Declaration of Independence, advocating for religious freedoms, and founding UVa.
The six-week, non-credit course can be taken on either Coursera or iTunes U.
