UVa School of Nursing Opening Up More to Community College Grads

June 18, 2013

The University of Virginia School of Nursing has a new way for working nurses to enhance their education.

The school has signed a deal with the Virginia Community College System, allowing registered nurses who graduated from a member school to be guaranteed admission to the UVa School of Nursing.

The deal gives participants the opportunity to earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from UVa. The benefits of this are higher salaries for the nurses, as well as better patient care in hospitals.

A goal of the program is to help students realize the earning potential from more education and want more in the future.
