UVa Student Raises Money for Food Bank

A University of Virginia student is receiving a $25,000 grant from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

Third-year Nicole Muller is receiving the grant from One A Day Women's Nutrition Mission. The grant recognizes the Neighbors-4-Neighbors Program she founded in the summer before her junior year at Western Albemarle High School.

Including money from the grant, Muller has raised more than $45,000 for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Neighbors-4-Neighbors has collected more than 575,000 pounds of food.
