Nov. 20, 2013
University of Virginia students and employees are holding a vigil Wednesday, Nov. 20, for a former employee who was killed in October.
Members of Jarvis Brown's family will join the UVa. community at the event. There will be some prepared speeches, and anyone who wishes to honor brown is welcome to speak.
Brown was shot and killed on October 17th. In November, Tsaye Simpson was arrested and charged with Brown's murder.
The vigil is being organized by the living wage campaign at UVa, and is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on the field by Observatory Hill.
