The UVa Dean of Students Allen Groves has warned fraternities and sororities about alcohol abuse after two students nearly lost their lives during "Rush Week."
Groves says a total of eight students were taken to the hospital last week for abusing alcohol.
Two of them were put on life support, though all of the students have now recovered.
The dean encouraged the sorority and fraternity leaders to make plans to minimize drinking.
