The University of Virginia says it is upping wages for hundreds of employees.
With the help of funding from the Board of Visitors, officials say they increased pay for more than 400 of UVa's lowest-paid workers last year and nearly 200 more since this July.
The minimum hiring rate is now $11.30 per hour.
