The University of Virginia has made yet another Top 100 list, this one from personal finance and business magazine Kiplinger.

UVa ranks third in the publication's list of the Top 100 Best Values in Public Colleges. The editors gave the following reasons:

"This elite institution not only has a competitive admission rate (33%), but also the highest graduation rate (4-year 85%; 6-year 93%). And it stands out for its generous financial aid: UVa is one of the two schools in our rankings that meet the full financial need of enrolled students (the other is the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill). Students who qualify for need-based aid pay an average annual cost of only $5,138."

At UVa, the average in-state cost per year is $21,626 and the out-of-state cost is $45,948.

The University of North Carolina topped the list, followed by the University of Florida in second and the College of William & Mary fourth. The top ten was rounded out by: New College of Florida, University of Georgia, University of California-Berkeley, University of Maryland, UCLA and University of California-San Diego.
