Charlottesville Police are searching for a suspect after a University of Virginia student was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning.
The incident happened in the 1600 block of University Avenue.
A 19-year-old student says he was withdrawing money from the Bank of America ATM around 1:15 a.m. when moments later he was approached by a suspect wearing baggy pants and a maroon shirt.
The suspect held out a gun, demanded the victim's wallet and then fled on foot.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
