Next week is International Random Acts of Kindness Week, and the local United Way says it's an opportunity for you to make a difference in someone else's life.

The volunteer center is encouraging Charlottesville residents to participate in this worldwide movement, and they say there are a lot of ways you can do it.

"Buy coffee for someone behind you in line, compliment a coworker, write an extra thank you note,” says United Way Volunteer Center Director Jessica Snyder. “Just really take a moment to think about ways that you can impact someone else's life."
