April 15 marks the last day to do your taxes and the United Way taken a part in helping people get their taxes done.
Throughout the tax season, United Way has offered free tax prep to hundreds of community members in Albemarle County, Fluvanna County, and Charlottesville.
Monday, they were still busy with the last minutes tax help and questions.
Martha Trujillo, United War Community Outreach Coordinator, said, "We have eight appointments but the telephone keeps ringing with all the people who weren't able to set up a time. We have had very good response from people who need some assistance, and they're happy when they found they saved not just a couple of hundred dollars but more money."
The United Way tax preparation program has helped more than 2,000 people this year and saved them nearly $2 million.
