The Virginia Department of Transportation says its crews are ready to address road conditions once the snow begins overnight.

Crews will treat roads with salt and sand to speed the melting process. Interstates and primary roads are the department's priorities.

VDOT said even though there's no significant accumulation expected, the air and pavement temperatures are likely to cause some slick spots.
