Va. Festival of the Book Starts Wednesday

March 18, 2014

The 20th Annual Virginia Festival of the Book kicks off Wednesday, March 19, in Central Virginia.

The festival runs from Wednesday through Sunday, March 23rd.

Organizers have planned a wide-array of activities for people of all ages. There are more than 130 programs for adults, over 60 programs for Charlottesville City Schools, and several other programs geared towards children.

"People love to read," says Va. Festival of the Book Program Director Nancy Damov. "Books are so much more meaningful if you actually get to hear the author and why the author was thinking about, or what they though thought about."
