NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - Police in Norfolk say a man attempting to beat a train across the tracks lost both his legs.
The Daily Press of Newport News reports that the incident occurred early Saturday near Hampton Boulevard. Police say the man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries describe as life-threatening.
An investigation is under way. The injured man's name has not been released.
