A vehicle pursuit ends with the arrest of a Charlottesville man.

Albemarle County Police arrested 31 year old Jermaine M. Herndon for felony eluding of a police officer, reckless driving and driving without a driver's license.

On Saturday night, officers saw Herndon in a dark Lexus speeding on Seminole Trail. Officers say he turned off his headlights and ran a red light at the intersections of Seminole Trail at Woodbrook Drive and Seminole Trail at Albemarle Square. The media release says Herndon came close to hitting other vehicles in the intersection.

Albemarle County Officers followed Herndon to a parking lot in the 700 block of West Rio Road. When officers approached the vehicle, Herndon reached for something on the floorboard. Officers removed him from the vehicle and arrested him there.

Herndon is being held at the Albemarle/Charlottesville Regional Jail.
