Technology and business leaders with ties to the University of Virginia pitched their business ideas to a summit of investors on Friday at the Darden Business School.
"This is more about technology, investments in technology and expanding the companies in the University of Virginia," explained Paul Kinnon of ZyGEM/Microlab Diagnostics.
The event attracts capitalists from across the country to learn about the up and coming businesses. Organizations are also able to receive feedback from investors on how to improve their practices and hopefully receive funding for their endeavors.
This was the third year for the event, last year all presenters received financial support for their businesses.
