The Virginia Institute of Autism has received a $6,000 donation from Panera Bread. The funds where raised buy selling bracelets and from the proceeds from bagel and smoothie sales.

VIA says the donation will go towards VIA's new special needs playground.

"we're about halfway there." says Ethan Long from VIA. "we've got about $25,000 more to go, but we do hope to break ground in August, and let the kids get out on the playground in early Fall"

Panera says this is the largest donation that have made to a local organization.
