Volunteers Needed to Help Emergency Crews Prepare for Plane Crash

Emergency officials in Albemarle County will practice responding to an airplane crash at Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport and need volunteers to play crash victims.

Emergency officials in Albemarle County will practice responding to an airplane crash at Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport and need volunteers to play crash victims.

The Office of Emergency Management for Charlottesville, UVA and Albemarle County needs 50 people to help out with the exercise. It's scheduled to take place Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m.. Anyone over the age of 12 is allowed to volunteer. Officials need volunteers to play two types of roles, injured crash victims and family members of those victims.
