Sign-ups are now underway for the Charlottesville Community Health Fair this weekend.

Health information and health screenings will be available at Booker T. Washington Park on Preston Avenue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2.p.m.

Basic tests, including blood pressure, body mass index, vision and hearing, diabetes and more will be available.

The event is in conjunction with the 25th Annual African American Cultural Arts Festival.

"The community in which we're serving has a high incidence and mortality rate for heart disease cancer stroke and diabetes so there will be a lot of educational information and health guidance on the examination results," says Marcus Martin with the Community Health Fair.

You'll need to sign up in advance to schedule a sports physical or mammogram:
-Call 434-243-2079 to schedule a sports physical
-Call 434-924-1555 to schedule a mammogram

You must be at least 40 years of age and have no prior breast problems. Please bring your health insurance card to cover mammogram costs.
