In this week's What's Going Around we're checking in with two local physicians. They tell us pink eye and bronchitis are going around.

Dr. Michael Sty of Spring Creek Family Medicine says many patients are coming down with bronchitis. Symptoms include cough, low grade fever and wheezing.

When it comes to treatment, Dr. Sty recommends Tylenol or Motrin to reduce fever, rest, fluids and an inhaler or antibiotics depending on the situation.

Over at Afton family medicine, Dr. Steve Schmitz says pink eye is going around there. You might have pink eye if the white part of the eye has turned pink and you have a watery or gooey discharge coming from your eye.

Dr. Schmitz says usually warm compresses, time and occasional antibiotics help to heal pink eye.
