RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Winter is waning but it's not yet over in Virginia.

With spring just days away, another winter storm is expected to bring snow across the state.

Winter storm warnings are in effect for 20 counties from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning.

The National Weather Service says up to 10 inches of snow is expected in parts of the Shenandoah Valley and central and west-central Virginia. Other areas could see 4 to 9 inches of snow.

Up to a foot of snow is possible in the mountains above 2,000 feet.

Temperatures are expected to rise to the mid-50s and low 60s by Thursday. Spring brings Friday.
