Winter Weary Central Virginia Deals with Another Snow Storm

March 25, 2014

The third snow storm of the month is only causing minor issues across Central Virginia. The snow began falling at around 8 o'clock Tuesday morning. By the time it wraps up Tuesday afternoon, most areas will see several inches on the ground.

Many roads across the area are slushy. The Virginia Department of Transportation is reporting minor snow conditions on major roads. Roads in Nelson County are in a little bit worse shape and are listed in moderate condition.

Most school systems in Central Virginia opened on-time Tuesday morning. Orange County schools have opted to close 90 minutes early. Albemarle County and Charlottesville schools have cancelled after-school activities.
